Apples and Navy Spot

Red, green, yellow and blue apples on a light cream background with a navy and white spot lining. (sorry these photos are blurry- thats thanks to the frosty camera taking photos nearby to the roaring fire! at least its warm in the house, unlike the cold sewing cellar downstairs!)

Daisy Red Spot

Blue daisies with red centres on a white background, lining in mini red and white spot.

Soccer Boy

This is Joe boy's bag, he picked the material! He thinks the best thing to put inside his bag is himself...

...all those hours of work to end up...

...in an op shop for sale for $2!!!!! Are you serious?! I came across these beautifully embroidered doilies the other day and couldn't leave them in the stinky op shop, some lovely person has stitched for hours on these, possibly from a few different homes. I especially love the violets...my Nanny's favourite flower in fabrics and embroidery by far! Although her most favourite real life flowers I'd say would be pansies, yellow roses and Just Joey rose for sure.
These are almost too good to turn into something else (a pretty skirt or dress for Lill...) so I will hang onto them and just look at them!

Vintage 70's Orange Geometric

This one speaks for itself! and its all MINE, yep I'm keeping it, I love it. I can make plenty more of it though as I've got a stack of the fabric. I think it would also look groovy baby with a chocolate or yellow lining.
Thankyou everyone for your orders so far! This is fun!!!

Look what's to come...

Here are some pictures of some of the fabric's I've got and their matching linings ready to made into bags...

This vintage orange and brown geometric 70's number is going to be a hit, I really like it.

This Michael Miller Cowboy Camp fabric will be a one-off unless I can get some more of course!

Retro Summer Chocolate Check

This fabric has little girls playing, eating icecreams and pushing cats and dogs in prams! The lining is a small check in chocolate.

Peg Pocket Apron

This is an apron for Miss Lill to hold treasures in the pockets or pegs if you want to be helpful at washing time which is quite often! I used scraps for the waistband and pockets and the floral fabric is an old sheet that Kimbo picked up for me, thanks Kim. Her ankle is still not good by the way, she had to miss work and everything. I am very sorry Kimmy...no I am.

Happy Mothers Day

We had a great day. We had high tea with our special Royal Albert tea cups and some freshly baked scones with jam and cream and some caramel slice. Then we had a sausage sizzle at Maleny and went on a short bushwalk where we saw some Pademelon's and lots of scrub turkeys at Mary Cairnscross park. Oh, I got a worm farm and 500 worms for Mother's Day...

Another Grand Majesty and Red Spot Teapot

Here is a few more, another Grand Majesty with black and white spot lining, so far this is the favourite it seems for everyone. And a Red Spot Teapot with red spotty lining. My Mum and my Mother-in-law loved their bags by the way on Mothers Day!

You can kind of see how big the bags are with my hand holding them up by the handle, not the best photos sorry. But just remember, they are the same size as the Supermarket Green Bags...except way more GLAM!!!

Kimmy's Spotty Leopard

Here is the leopard print bag with red spot lining and contrasting red top-stitching. This one is going to live at my best friend Kimmy's house, who is addicted to leopard print! (and just twisted her ankle, bumped her elbow and nearly smashed the dozen eggs I just gave her that were safely tucked away in the BAG...I'll also add that she had just said "I am going to go down on these stairs" and I had shut my mouth in case I got the blame for distracting her if she did happen to go down...which she did). I hope you are ok my dear friend and I am happy your eggs are all still intact, I have a sore stomach from laughing so hard!!!

Not-so-Green Shopping Bag...thanks Tin Whistle

Well here is my first go at a Tin Whistle not-so-green shopping bag! I am very impressed with myself. I used some left over kindy sheets material in case I stuffed it up, and now I am attempting another using a tea pot print and co-ordinating red spot on the lining, its for Mum for Mothers Day, shhh, and to go inside is a Royal Albert cup, saucer and plate in the 1950's set celabrating 100 years of Royal Albert. Also, I've made her a crocheted handtowel, you know like the old ladies make and I've got some new tuppaware illusions mini pitchers to go in. So she is doing pretty well and most of all I think she'll be pleased with my efforts at the bag!

Number 5 Teacup Cake

This year did a chocolate Number 5 cake with light pink icing. We made special tea cups and put them on top. It was yummy and very cute.

Birthday Cake

Stevo's birthday cake this year, Nanny's 3 min Chocolate Cake (double batch) iced with leftover party lollies and a reused thomas dec from Joe's cake last year. Oh I had to cut the cake in half, trim off the burnt sides and sandwich with strawberry jam and cream.

Birthday Outfit

This is the outfit I made Lill for her birthday this year. A halter top showing a very bare midriff and matching twirly skirt. I think she looked very cute in it. The halter top was pretty easy, it was an old old pattern I found somewhere, think it might have been Mum's. The skirt is a new pattern.

Shirred Top

My first go at shirring! I thought it would be a complete failure, but after a bit of research I had a shot at it and I think I did pretty well. This top was for Olivia and I also made a matching Amy Butler headband.

Icecream Cone Cupcakes

This year we made icecream cone cupcakes. They were a hit, much easier for little kids to eat too. Lill took them to school for her birthday.
